This website and web app are operated in Germany and comply with the GDPR (DSGVO).

2. Data We Process

2.1 Server Log Data

When you access CodeGen, the hosting server automatically collects the following technical data:

• IP address
• Date and time of access
• Visited pages or API endpoints
• Referrer URL
• Browser type and version
• Operating system
• HTTP status code
• Amount of data transferred

These log files are required to operate the web app securely and to detect errors.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
Log data is deleted automatically after a short retention period.

2.2 Cookies

CodeGen uses only technically necessary cookies that enable core functionality, including:

• Session handling
• CSRF protection (if used)
• Temporary state storage for image generation or uploads

No analytics cookies, marketing cookies, or third-party cookies are used.

3. Image Uploads and Image Generation

CodeGen allows uploading images and generating new images.

3.1 Image Uploads

When you upload an image:

• The file is processed on the server for generation purposes
• The image may be temporarily stored for the duration of processing
• Uploaded images are deleted automatically after processing is completed, unless explicitly stored by the user (if the feature exists)

No training or reuse of uploaded images occurs.
Uploaded content is not shared with third parties.

3.2 Generated Images

Generated images can be downloaded by the user.
Generated files may be stored temporarily for technical reasons and are then automatically removed.

If any persistent storage feature is added later, the policy must be updated.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of a requested service).

4. No Third-Party Services

CodeGen does not load data from external servers.
No analytics tools, tracking scripts, advertising networks, CDNs, or third-party cookies are used.

All processing occurs entirely on servers located in Germany (or within the EU, if applicable).

5. Contact

If you contact the operator via email, the transmitted data is stored and processed only to answer the request.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) and Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.

6. Data Security

CodeGen uses appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect all data from loss, misuse, and unauthorized access.

Uploaded images, generated images, and temporary files are removed after processing or after a defined expiration time.

7. Storage Duration

• Server logs: automatically deleted after a short retention period
• Uploaded images: deleted after processing
• Generated images: temporary files deleted automatically
• Contact data: deleted after a request is handled
• Essential cookies: expire automatically based on their functional purpose

No long-term storage of personal data takes place unless explicitly required.
